JOB OVERVIEW
A Sports & Fitness Company in Lekki, Lagos is looking for a skilled and trustworthy Accountant to join its finance team. The company needs someone who can handle financial records properly and support daily accounting operations.
The ideal candidate should have good experience in accounting and bookkeeping. The person must be able to prepare reports, manage company accounts, and keep accurate financial records.
This role is suitable for candidates who are organized, detail-oriented, and confident in using accounting software like QuickBooks. Applicants with strong numerical skills and experience in financial reporting are encouraged to apply.
The company is also looking for someone who can work closely with management and help provide financial information for business decisions. Candidates with professional accounting certification such as ICAN or ATS will have an added advantage.
This is a full-time onsite role based in Lekki, Lagos.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain accurate financial records and bookkeeping
- Prepare monthly financial reports
- Prepare quarterly and annual financial reports
- Manage accounts payable and receivable
- Reconcile bank statements and company accounts
- Monitor company expenses and transactions
- Ensure proper documentation of all financial activities
- Assist with budgeting and financial planning
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards
- Follow company financial policies and procedures
- Support management with financial analysis and reporting
- Provide financial insights for business decisions
- Keep accounting records updated at all times
- Use QuickBooks for bookkeeping and reconciliation
- Handle financial documentation carefully and accurately
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- B.Sc or HND in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- MBA, MSc, MA, or Professional Certificate is accepted
- Professional certification such as ICAN or ATS is an added advantage
- 2 to 15 years of accounting experience
- Previous experience as an Accountant or similar role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles
- Good understanding of financial reporting
- Ability to use QuickBooks accounting software confidently
- Experience with bookkeeping and reconciliation
- Good analytical and numerical skills
- Strong attention to detail
- High level of honesty and integrity
- Good communication skills
- Good organizational skills
