Harris Computer Systems is hiring a Remote Credit Balance Representative to join its MEDHOST division.
This is a full-time remote opportunity for candidates living in the United States within the Central Time Zone.
The successful candidate will help review patient account credit balances, process refunds, investigate overpayments, and maintain accurate financial records.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review patient and insurance credit balances.
- Investigate payment discrepancies and overpayments.
- Process refunds and account adjustments accurately.
- Maintain accurate customer and financial records.
- Monitor refund trends and report findings.
- Work with internal departments to resolve outstanding issues.
- Support workflow improvements and process efficiency.
- Follow HIPAA and company compliance requirements.
- Participate in meetings, training, and special projects.
- Respond to customer emails and phone inquiries professionally.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in reimbursement, accounts receivable, or hospital billing.
- Knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle processes.
- Understanding of insurance payments and patient accounting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good customer service experience.
- Strong attention to detail and organization.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- AS400 knowledge is an advantage.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection (minimum 300 Mbps download).
