JOB OVERVIEW
Haringey Council is hiring a Key Worker – Children’s Home to join its Children’s Services team at Haslemere Children’s Home in London.
This is a full-time onsite position for people who are passionate about supporting children and young people with complex needs.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create and review personalised support plans.
- Support children and young people with daily living skills.
- Help young people through important life transitions.
- Build trusting and therapeutic relationships.
- Maintain accurate reports and care records.
- Follow safeguarding, health, and safety procedures.
- Work using the AMBIT therapeutic model.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care or an equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience supporting young people in residential care or a similar setting.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed and person-centred care.
- Awareness of autism, diversity, and the different needs of young people.
- Ability to work independently and within a professional team.
- Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and support planned activities.
