JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Gather, analyze, and document business and data requirements
• Translate business needs into practical data solutions
• Design end-to-end enterprise data solutions
• Create and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models
• Develop, improve, and support SQL-based ETL processes
• Support data integration and migration activities
• Reverse engineer legacy ETL systems and mappings
• Ensure compliance with enterprise data governance standards
• Work closely with data architects and business stakeholders
• Implement and support medallion architecture frameworks
• Help modernize outdated data systems
• Improve financial reporting and data management processes
• Prepare technical and business documentation
• Present technical findings to both technical and non-technical teams
• Participate in Agile project delivery environments
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Information Systems, or related field
• Minimum 7 years of Data Analyst or Data Modeling experience
• Strong SQL programming skills
• Hands-on ETL development and optimization experience
• Experience with data integration projects
• Strong understanding of data modeling techniques
• Experience with Azure Data Platform
• Experience using Databricks
• Proficiency with Python programming
• Experience working with Apache Spark
• Understanding of data architecture and data lineage
• Knowledge of data governance standards
• Experience with medallion architecture frameworks
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in Agile teams
• Eligible for Government of Canada Reliability Security Clearance
