JOB OVERVIEW
BioLife Plasma Services is hiring a Field Reimbursement Associate Director – Mid Atlantic to support patient access across its U.S. Oncology Business Unit.
This remote, field-based position covers Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia.
The successful candidate will provide reimbursement expertise to healthcare professionals, helping them understand insurance coverage, prior authorizations, reimbursement pathways, appeals, and patient support programs.
The goal is to improve patient access to oncology therapies while ensuring providers have the latest reimbursement information.
This role is suitable for experienced professionals with a strong background in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, oncology reimbursement, and patient access.
Candidates should be confident working with healthcare providers, payer systems, and cross-functional teams while solving complex reimbursement challenges.
The position reports to the Director, Field Reimbursement Lead – East and requires regular travel throughout the assigned territory.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as the regional expert on patient access and reimbursement for oncology therapies.
- Educate healthcare providers on insurance coverage and reimbursement processes.
- Explain prior authorizations, appeals, payer requirements, and coverage pathways.
- Work closely with Sales, Market Access, Strategic Account Management, and Here2Assist teams.
- Help resolve reimbursement and patient access issues quickly.
- Support healthcare practices with onboarding and workflow improvements.
- Share information about patient support programs and eligibility.
- Monitor changes in payer policies and reimbursement trends.
- Maintain accurate CRM records following company compliance standards.
- Travel across the assigned Mid Atlantic territory as required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Management, or a related field.
- At least 8 years of experience in biotechnology or the pharmaceutical industry.
- Minimum of 4 years of oncology reimbursement or patient access experience.
- At least 2 years of Buy and Bill experience.
- Strong knowledge of Medicare Part B, Medicare Part D, commercial insurance, specialty pharmacy, and Medicaid reimbursement.
- Experience with HUB services and copay assistance programs.
- Oncology launch experience for oral and injectable therapies is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities.
- Must live in Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, or nearby.
- Willingness to travel between 50% and 75%.
- Valid driver’s license.
